Battle Biker Drop-In was launched in June 2007 at Battle Fire Station in East Sussex as a new road safety initiative to assist Sussex Police in bringing about a reduction in the alarming level of motorcyclist fatalities and serious injuries on Sussex roads every year.
At the same time it provides an ideal venue for riders to take a short break for refreshments and an opportunity to discuss road safety and other motorcycling issues with local Fire Service personnel.
The idea was conceived and implemented by Battle Fire Station personnel to support and complement existing road safety schemes and partnerships already in existance in Sussex, notably the Sussex Police BikeSafe scheme and East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service FireBike initiative.

The scheme will run every Sunday morning from the beginning of March to the end of September each year.
However, all riders are most welcome to Drop-In to Battle Fire Station at any time when ESFRS personnel are on station for advice and assistance on both motorcycle related road safety issues and home fire safety matters.
Battle Fire Station is crewed on station from 0900 hrs to 1800 hrs each weekday and from 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs at the weekend, including Bank Holidays, with the exception of New Year's Day, Easter Monday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
In addition, the station is crewed from 1845 hrs to 2115 hrs every Tuesday night.

Battle Fire Station is located on the A2100, London Road, Battle.
